What else is needed to assemble this completely into a functioning rifle? Just a complete lower? Or a stripped lower?
Weeweehead on Aug 6, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Just a stripped lower and a few basic tools. YouTube is your friend on how to build one.
What is the weight? Does the pencil profile really help?
Michael on Aug 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I bought this upper and lower build kit separately. Assembled on a PSA lower without a magazine, my digital scale showed 6.6 pounds. The upper with the BCG and charge handle showed 3.9 pounds.
Does this need to be shipped to a ffl?
Chucky S on Aug 25, 2019

No, this can be shipped directly to you.

What is the benefit of a stainless steel barrel?
PAMELA S L on Oct 25, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The biggest advantage is corrosion resistance. It will resist corroding better that steel.
Will this drop into a complete DPMS lower?
Ryan R on Sep 18, 2019

We cannot guarantee that another manufacturers product will work with ours but this kit is designed for Mil-Spec AR1-15 lowers.

Is this a free-float barrel/handguard?
Phillip B on Aug 23, 2019
So all that is needed to complete the kit is a lower receiver? Does PSA have a product that it ships with a lower receiver?
Carc4 on Sep 4, 2019

All you need is a stripped lower receiver to turn this into a rifle. Here is a link to one of our most popular ones. We do not sell the kits with a receiver.

What's the weapons overall length ?
Barry H on Aug 24, 2019

It's a very lightweight gun that has smooth trigger action which with both of those things together makes it my favorite AR15 in my collection.

Excellent Purchase, easy assembly.
Excellent purchase. Easy to put together and operates smoothly. Just don't fire rapidly, stainless isn't made for the heat. My barrel turned brown after intense shooting, but still works great.

Excellent rifle.
This is a very light, very well balanced rifle. I'm very impressed with the fit and finish and quality of components for a kit in this price range. Highly recommended.

Sweet & Light
This is the 2nd pencil barrel PSA rifles I have bot and both are enjoyable to shoot, light to carry around, and accurate out to 500meters so far, need to get to a longer range to really test it out w/77gr OTM match ammo.

Well worth the $
Other that the poorly made mag pull flip up sights this is a great kit.
This is a solid kit. Well worth the $. All three of these PSA builds. It’s the one in the center

Good rifle at a good price!
Good rifle kit at a good price! Just built one and went together smooth as silk. Only issue was: After cleaning and lubricating the BCG I had a really hard time getting the cotter pin reinstalled for the firing pin. I had a replacement BCG and installed that one while I figure out the original. My understanding is that this is pretty common on new BCG and requires some patience and persistence until it gets a few rounds through it.
